• The explosion scene of the M16 was added digitally in post production unlike in the previous Bond film 'The World Is Not Enough' the explosion of the building was done on a large scale replica - show change in media technology over the years?
• Scene that were shot in Istanbul affected store owners in the area as they had to close their shops
• Many scenes were not filmed on location in Shanghai instead the virgin active pool in Canary Wharf acted as Bond's hotel pool in Shanghai
• For the aerial footage of Shanghai, the crew received rare access to shoot from a helicopter on loan from the Chinese government - shows how conglomerates can use their money to afford this type of things that an independent company cannot
• Production faced criticism for allegedly damaging building while filming the motorcycle chase across the rooftops in the city
